Last day of summer

mandag 31. august 2020
-- and a sad goodbye
af Alex Buxton

Light northerly winds and a temperature of 19 degrees by lunchtime, today felt much like yesterday. A slight increase in birds this morning included the usual suspects and a noticeable influx of Gransanger. A beautiful male Grønirisk, a young Bynkefugl, Skovsanger, Rødtoppet Fuglekonge were the birds of the day. After a productive morning of ringing we decided to close the nets at noon and wave a sad goodbye to our teammates Rie and Philip. After two good weeks in Gedser it was time to head north again, we will miss their good company and great smiles. Ing.

This afternoon we were joined by Robert and enjoyed an evening of homemade pizza made by Ole.
