Ringmærkningen : 

Nobody was at the tip for the migration count this morning because there were only three of us, or I should say two and a half for the ringing... Why? Because I injured my ankle two days ago. Before Noémie and Benoit return to France, we went to Marylust to swim in the (really) cold Baltic Sea. Afterwards, I wanted to get some biscuits, so I ran to the supermarket and did not see this little hole, but my ankle saw it from really close up... The result was a tiny sprain, so I decided to rest my foot for two days before the new week when it will only be Anna and me for the ringing.

Hopefully, Noémie had a great imagination for Halloween !

Nevertheless, only one person would have been enough to handle the 30 birds we had this morning, with only seven species. The sparrowhawk escaped from the nets twice, but at 10 Anna returned with a big smile ! 8 Long-tailed tits, the cutest bird on earth. Although the morning was slow, it was a nice opportunity for Anna to do everything.

Signe left us this afternoon. I hope it won't be too hard to go back to work. We had a really nice week in her company.

We are ready and happy to open the nets tomorrow, full of hope for a rain of waxwings !
