Ringmærkningen: Whilst the weather seemed perfect (low wind, no rain), there was little movement around our garden. Most likely, the southerly wind made for a bad day for migration. 

Mainly, we caught a mixture of Dunnocks (Prunella modularis), European robins (Erithacus rubecula), Common redstarts (Phoenicurus phoenicurus), Eurasian blackcaps (Sylvia atricapilla), Common chiffchaffs (Phylloscopus collybita), and Willow warblers (Phylloscopus throchilus). One Willow warbler stood out to us! It had a coloration that reminding us more of a chiffchaff's.

Og nu kommer Grønirisk! We’ve seen them around the garden, but today was finally the day we caught a juvenile European greenfinch (Chloris chloris) in our nets. Whilst not yet as green as it will once be, we admired its feathers and yellow patterns on the wings and tail. Its stout bill revealed the reason for paying our garden a visit: the greenfinch had blackberry stains all over!

Today, we caught a total of 39 birds belonging to 9 different species.

Trækket på Odden: En af de mere stille efterårsdage i standardtiden, og beretningen bliver kort på grund af andre opgaver. Vejret var mildt og tørt. Trækket af rovfugle udeblev næsten, men indeholdt dog to Dværgfalke (Falco columbarius). Vinden flyttede nok en del af trækket væk fra Odden. Dagens Hvepsevåger (Pernis apivorus) og Rørhøge (Circus aeroginosus) så ud til at trække ud ved havnen et stykke nord for fuglestationen.

På havruten var der op mod 1.500 andefugle, mest Sortænder (Melanitta nigra), Pibeænder (Mareca penelope) og Krikænder (Anas crecca), men også et par af de arter, der egentlig først kommer senere, nemlig Bjergand (Aythya marila) og Hvinand (Bucephala clangula). Værd at nævne er også trækket af terne og Dværgmåger (Hydrocoloeus minutus).
