Ringmærkning: Whilst Storm left the bird observatory yesterday, it seemed like the weather in Gedser could not let go quite yet. We woke up to the wind howling around us and by no surprise, it was too much to open a single net for ringing.

Instead, we spent the day inside. Whilst Lua cleaned the ringing lab, I did the data checks that were piling up. So far in September we have mostly ringed European robins (Erithacus rubecula), Eurasian blackcaps (Sylvia atricapilla) and Common chiffchaffs (Phylloscopus collybita). Otherwise, we have received a mix of Willow warblers (P. trochilus), Common redstarts (Phoenicurus phoenicurus), Lesser whitethroats (Sylvia curruca), and Dunnocks (Prunella modularis), but numbers are decreasing compared to August.
