The day started at 4:15 with the alarm going off and us getting ready to open the nets. The rain that we had during the night made us feel we weren’t going to catch as many birds as yesterday, but there is always hope.

The 2 first rounds were quite slow, but little by little started picking up, not with big numbers but with new species: Red-backed shrike, Grasshopper warbler, Wood warbler and Reed Bunting.

We decided to leave the nets opened after the standard, until 14:45 that after a 0 round we decided to close.

The afternoon flew by with some bird id studying, Ramón went for a run under the rain while Anton and me had dinner and now we are finishing the day with some more reading and football watching.
