2 lifers for the 2 Spanish!

mandag 30. juli 2018
af Ana de Osma

We started the day at 4:00, opening the nets under a cloudy sky with beautiful red lights from the sunrise and some morning breeze.

The morning was good, besides we didn´t catch many birds, but we enjoyed them a lot.

The excitement of the day came in the last round in the morning, when Alejandro got a Wood Warbler, lifer for him and also for me! Good way to finish the morning! After 9:30 Alejandro wanted to keep the nets open and it´s good he did it, because in the next round at 10:00 he got a Grasshoper warbler, and brought it home so we could enjoy it! Second lifer of the day! Gerts was lucky too, he arrived to the station when we were taking photos of the bird in front of the house.

Alejandro was in charge of the rounds from 10:00 to 13:00, Anton and me were from 14:00 to 15:00 that it was too hot, there was no activity and we decided to close them.
