The morning started not in the best way possible. Anton and me were opening nets this morning. There was strong wind (12 m/s) blowing so after checking all nets we decided not to open them. First day of the season without the standard.

But we decided to take advantage of the situation and instead of going back to bed we had some breakfast and together with Ramón went to the tip to give Anders a hand with his season opening. First day of the season with the count at the tip! We enjoyed a lot even though it was pretty slow. Anders is saying of today's first season day:

"I herligt solskin og selskab så vi bl.a 380 trækkende mursejlere og 14 flotte strandhjejler trække forbi, der kom også en Fiskeørn som trak ud."

The highlight of the day has been a Caspian Gull 1cy that Anton spotted in our way back home from the tip. With his Caspian Gull in the pocket he was already a happy man!

Gert came around noon and had some stuff to do at the station. Luckely for Anton and me there got a ride to Gedser for some grocery shopping and in our way walking back we could hear activity in the birdlife. So straight after we arrived home we decided to open nets (18:00 to 21:00) which ended up being a great idea since we got a total of 45 new birds ringed and some practice for tomorrow after some very slows days.

Wheater looks insane - we are so ready for a mega push tomorrow! It's gonna be gooood with the day of the year!
